The Power of Somatic, Mind-Body Coaching

Somatic, Mind-Body Coaching uses a holistic and client-centered approach that focuses on empowering individuals (and groups’)  actualization of potential and embodied transformation – Integrating the clarity of mindfulness-based work with the deep and impactful body-based techniques of somatics & somatic parts-work.

Through this exploration, clients clarify their internal and external goals, navigate roadblocks to those goals, enhance the skills to be present in the here-and-now, and future-oriented, and increase performance, effectiveness, and well-being.

Where we start:

Purpose/ Longing: Investigate and discover values, goals and deepest  desires. Asking and anwering these questions:  What do you want? What do you care about? Who do you want to become? How do you want to belong? What are you here for (purpose)?

The Five-Phase Cycle of Change: Clients move through a powerful five phase cycle of change that includes:

1) awareness, 2) sensing/feeling, 3) expression, 4) embodied meaning-making, and 5) action and integration.

Welcome, I’m Sheryl

I’m a heart-centered Somatic Parts-work Coach who guides and mentors clients out of their stormy mind/stress response patterns and debilitating tiredness, into clearer, calmer waters.

Like you, I am a survivor and understand how traumatic experience changes so much. You are not alone. Within my own recovery I discovered that  traditional therapies were helpful, but limited. Intuitivly I felt there was more to my story.

Once I became curious about heart-body-wisdom and learned how to relate to my inner system, I saw big positive changes.  The stories within me became superpowers.  Since then I’ve focused on somatic bottom-up approaches in my coaching practive, such as interospective yoga, yoga nidra and somatic parts-work.  I’ve learned we are all born with innate healing capabilities. And a supportive loving family of parts, lives within us. These “gifts” are now timeless resources of strength and resiliience.   

My passion as a Somatic practitioner and coach, is to help you to align your heart-body-wisdom with your beliefs and values,  so that you may live and relate from this fully wholehearted and embodied place.
